When you slide your stem up and down to adjust handle bar height, the last thing you need is the handle bars twisting right and left. A simple groove in the stem prevents this twisting and makes folding and adjusting a Dahon bike that much easier. Found on the very first Dahon and updated in 2006. Dahon patented technology.
