Nulfulcrum QR

Clamp
2006

A funny thing happened when we looked more closely into the traditional QR clamp design: we discovered that the traditional design acts like a fulcrum around which a lever (seatpost or stem) can rotate. Not a good thing, when the goal of a QR is to hold a seatpost or stem in place. By shifting the position of the QR clamp by only a centimeter, we've managed to largely eliminate the tendency of a QR clamp to act as a fulcrum, which results in increased stiffness. Always a good thing. Dahon patented technology.
