BioLogic Brand Launch Helps Non-Profit

August 31, 2010 — Dahon, the world leader in folding bicycles, is helping raise money for the WorldBike organization this year at Eurobike. With a donation of €15 or more, visitors to the BioLogic stand in Dahon’s booth receive a BioLogic Vacuum Flask filled with freshly brewed coffee and an unlimited number of refills for the duration of the trade show. All proceeds generated will go to WorldBike.

“We are officially launching our BioLogic brand of cycling accessories at Eurobike, and we also wanted to help draw attention to a good cause,” stated Joshua Hon, Dahon vice president. “We felt that this was a great way of introducing our new brand while helping out our friends at WorldBike at the same time.”

WorldBike is a non-profit organization that designs and distributes low-cost bicycles for programs that increase economic opportunity, improve health outcomes and boost enrollment and gender equity in secondary school among the rural poor. WorldBike specializes in cargo bicycles that are configured to be not only affordable, but also maintained and repaired locally.

“Those of us who live in wealthy countries take for granted the mobility options afforded us, but for the rest of the world, getting around is a daily challenge,” stated Ross Evans, WorldBike founder. “We believe that mobility is an essential human right. We’re committed to sustainably getting bikes into the hands of disadvantaged people worldwide.”

The BioLogic Vacuum Flask is a vacuum-insulated stainless steel bottle designed for cyclists who love their coffee or tea. The Vacuum Flask fits all standard bicycle bottle cages and the push button SipSpout lid makes it easy to take a quick sip at a stoplight. The vacuum insulated chamber of the Vacuum Flask keeps hot drinks piping hot and cold beverages cold for hours. The Vacuum Flask has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of €24,99 (US$29.99). BioLogic cycling gear is dedicated to addressing the needs of urban cyclists.

Donations will be accepted at Dahon’s Eurobike booth at Booth B4-501 (Hall B4) from September 1-4, 2010 from 09:30-18:00 and at the Dahon booth at Demo Day on August 31st. Promotion is only available to attendees of the Eurobike Trade Show. Vacuum Flasks are limited to stock on hand.
