Dahon Unveils New Folding Bike Storage Bags

Patented features tailored for different storage and portage options
March, 2010

DUARTE, California — March 15, 2010 — Dahon, the world leader in folding bicycles, today announced a line of innovative storage bags for its folding bicycles. Three different bags with patented features allow an array of novel storage and portage options.

“The whole idea behind a folding bike is that it is easy to store and carry with you,” stated Matthew Davis, Dahon global marketing and sales director. “But if you want to store or carry a folding bike conveniently, you need some good bag options. We spent last year really focusing on how people use their bikes in real life and designing bags for the different ways that people use them.”

CarryOn Cover
Many mass transit systems do not allow bicycles on board; but they will allow folding bicycles on board if they are bagged. The CarryOn Cover is a light, quick to use bike cover designed for commuters who want to bring their folding bikes aboard these trains, buses, and subways. The CarryOn features a patented strap system that supports the weight of the bike with internal straps so the outer cover can be made with light and highly compressible material. The patented design enables the CarryOn to roll up to the size of a sandwich and stuff into its own saddle bag – always ready, but never in the way.

Stow Bag
The Stow Bag is a rugged, padded bag designed to protect a bike from the bumps and dings that come with storage and portage. 1800 denier polyester, heavy-duty zippers, metal clips and buckles, and seat belt webbing, ensure durability and long use. It is available in two sizes to fit most Dahon bikes.
