Folding Bicycle Description
The Speed Pro TT is the bike for the serious roadie who wants it all: a bike that can take on a century as easily as it can pack into a suitcase for travel. The SRAM DualDrive gearing delivers 27 gears for anything from the steepest hills to hammering on the flats. And the BioLogic™ II frame geometry combined with a Syntace VRO system adjustable handlebar system let you dial in the perfect riding position. For 2009 we’ve cut 500 grams from the total weight by changing to a 7005 aluminum frame with the new V-Clamp hinge. Faster than ever.
Technology Highlights
  • New Schwalbe Durano tires are incredibly light and fast.
  • Kinetix Pro TT bars allow a wide variety of ergonomic hand positions and allow riders to adjust the reach of their brake levers - redesigned in 2009 for an even wider stance and more stability.
  • Holds up well on extended rides.
  • Kinetix Pro wheels are light, aero, and incredibly fast to accelerate.

"Our Speed Pro with Rohloff is a great machine! I have tested it thoroughly in the Swiss mountains; its a tough climber with good traction and it performs well on mtb-singletrack. I didn't have any flutter-problems even at 60 km/h [37.2 mph]."

"There is nothing out there in that price range that is better than this bike. Seriously. You can get a better bike from Bike Friday but expect to spend over $1,200.00 dollars for the same quality components."

"I just finished a four day bike trip on my Dahon Speed Pro through the pan handle of Florida. We toured the St. Mark's Trail, Apalachicola, St. George island, St. Joseph Peninsula and Port St. Joe. The bike ran great and I was very impressed with the speed and comfort. I purchased the bike just for this trip (I did not want the hassle of transporting my Cannondale) via the internet from Calhoun Cycle in Minneapolis. Both the Speed Pro and Calhoun Cycle exceeded my expectations."

"I took a perverse pleasure in humbling Lance Armstrong wannabes with this flashy orange and black, 25-lb, $1,199 speedster. It has narrow tires, a racing saddle, and handlebars that allow a more aerodynamic position. But while it's a delight on smooth pavement, even a vibration-damping front hub didn't prevent the bike from jarring my bones on bumpy roads."
