We’ve selected Avid’s mechanical BB disc brakes over Avid’s hydraulic offerings for a number reasons, not the least because we’ve tested just about every disc brake out there and we keep coming back to the BB7 for our own personal bikes. First, the BB7 offers best-in-class adjustability for those customers who hate disc drag and squealing as much as we do. Second, Dahon bikes are built for travel and bikes with hydraulic brake fluid have been banned by some airlines.
