Obsession isn’t always a good thing but in the case of our new Turtleneck seat post clamp, obsession results in perfection. We took every complaint we’ve ever had with the seat post collars that we’ve used and eliminated them with the Turtleneck. The QR lever is 30% longer than standard QR levers – more leverage equals less force needed to operate the lever and more clamping force on the clamp so your seat post always stays in place. The QR lever also has a nice flat surface which means that there are no sharp edges digging into your fingers when you operate the QR. A brass bushing – instead of the plastic normally used – means better durability. A stainless pivot and bolt means that it won’t bind and rust even if rain is a regular part of your commute. A recessed 2mm bolt firmly locks the seat collar in place so that it doesn’t twist when operating the QR lever. And finally, the collar tapers in towards the seat post – helping keep mud and dirt out. Yes, we do obsess.
