Traditional rear derailleurs weren't designed for small wheels: long cages leave little ground clearance and large parallelograms protrude awkwardly from the frame, vulnerable to damage. The all new Dahon Neos 2.0 improves on the outstanding Dahon Neos, a rear derailleur we developed with Suntour to meet the unique requirements of small-wheeled bicycles. An ultra short cage not only doubles ground clearance, it makes the Neos 2.0 one of the fastest and most precise shifting derailleurs on the market. Cache™ technology means that the low profile derailleur body lies flush underneath the chain stays, safe from damage. The derailleur body only projects 12mm from the chain stays whereas typical derailleurs protrude by up to 40mm. The Neos 2.0 also features Rapid-Rise or Low-Normal shifting so that shifts to lower gears when climbing are even faster and easier.
