Getting the handlebar height on your bike just right is very important: too low and you'll have back and neck pains; too high and you lose aerodynamic efficiency. The problem with traditional stem/handlebar set ups is that they are a pain to adjust. You have to disassemble the stem and play around with stack washers; and typically, you can only adjust bar height in 5 mm increments.
