Brakes are pretty important: use cheap ones and you'll end up sliding into oncoming traffic at a stoplight whenever it rains. That's why we demand the most advanced brake technology for our bikes. Kinetix SpeedStop V-brakes are ultra smooth and powerful and are specially designed to suit the unique geometry of Dahon bikes. The SpeedStop front brake includes our custom Flex brake noodle: a flexible stainless steel pipe that is much more resistant to damage. We also use SilentGrip ceramic brake pads: in DIN tests conducted by an independent lab in Germany, SilentGrip pads were comparable to Shimano pads when dry, measurably superior when wet, and several decibles quieter under all conditions. The final touch is stainless hardware and mounting bolts. Obsessive attention to detail? Why thank you very much.
