Hot Product: Mu Uno
The Mu Uno. It’s sleek, it’s black, and it has only one speed. New in Dahon’s product lineup for 2009 is the Mu Uno, a single-speed, coaster brake bike based on the very popular Dahon Mu frame.
“The original concept for the Uno was suggested by a dealer in Holland,” says Joshua Hon, Dahon vice president. “They came to us saying that people wanted a simple, all-purpose commuting bike. There wasn’t much interest from customers when they saw the first prototype, but when we used a Mu frame, it started to turn heads and people started placing orders.”
The Mu Uno addresses the need for a simple, utilitarian urban commuting bike. The absence of braking and shifting cables gives the bike a simple clean look and the curvature of the Mu frame lends an elegant classy feel. Designed to be ridden every day, regardless of the weather, the Uno is perfect for bringing on the train or bus, running errands to the local grocery store around the corner or just leisurely riding through a park.
The Mu Uno is scheduled to be available along with Dahon’s entire 2009 lineup worldwide in the first quarter of 2009.
