16 inch wheels
Customers rave about the styling and delightfully smooth handling of the Curve D3, one of Dahon’s most popular bikes. It’s the perfect bike for an easy commute or as secondary transportation stashed in a car. With its impressively small folded package it’s easy to take two for a weekend getaway. The Curve is available in three head-turning colors to match anyone’s style: fire red, blush pink, and cloud white.
The Curve SL is Dahon’s top of the line super-light compact commuter bike. As would be expected it folds in seconds, weighs next to nothing, and is small enough to fit into a shopping bag when folded. But where it really shines is how well it rides. The BioLogic II frame geometry is reassuringly stable. A Shimano Capreo 9-speed drivetrain provides all the gears needed for gruelling commutes. Designed for the daily commuter who really wants to move, the Curve SL delivers surprising speed in a small package.
The very first Dahon bike was created to solve a basic problem: how to quickly get from your home to the nearest train or bus station; and then how to get from your train or bus stop to your place of work. For this type of commuting (which we call multi-modal), a bike needs to fold fast; it needs to be light enough to carry easily; it needs to fold small enough to tuck out of the way on a crowded bus or train, and perhaps most importantly, it needs to ride well so you’ll want to ride it. After more than a quarter century of evolution, we present the Curve XL, the bike designed precisely for this basic function.
For riders who prefer a more upright riding position or who find our standard handlepost to be too much of a stretch forward, the Radius V Comfort Handlepost positions the handlebars closer to the saddle than the standard Radius handlepost. Same solid construction, mount and assembly as the standard Radius V Handlepost. Compatible with all 16” bikes and most 20” bikes with telescoping Radius V handleposts. It’s another way to get just the right fit on a Dahon bike.
